We are proud to share an exciting milestone for our firm. Effective January 1, 2026, Blackman & Sloop has promoted Jennipher Branch to Partner. Jennipher’s promotion reflects not only her technical excellence and steady leadership, but also the care, clarity, and confidence she brings to every client relationship.
Jennipher joined Blackman & Sloop in 2021 and has quickly become a trusted voice within the firm and a valued advisor to the clients she serves. As a leader in our tax practice, she oversees client engagements and staff development while helping shape the firm’s vision and processes. Known for her thoughtful approach and proactive mindset, Jennipher has a strong passion for tax planning and enjoys helping clients navigate complex financial decisions, identify opportunities, and support long-term business growth.
In addition to her client work, Jennipher is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of accounting professionals. She takes great pride in supporting interns and new staff members, helping them build both confidence and technical skills as they grow in their careers. One of Jennipher’s proudest accomplishments has been launching a student survey initiative designed to inspire more students to enter the accounting profession and explore the meaningful impact our work can have.

Originally from Freeport, Maine, Jennipher now calls Durham, North Carolina home, where she lives with her beloved cat, Sophia. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading. She also has a personal goal of visiting every U.S. state and discovering new cultures around the world, a reflection of her belief in continuous growth both personally and professionally.
Jennipher earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA), and the Exchange Club of Greater Durham.
