Conferences / Seminars / Events:

Throughout the past few months, we have actively engaged in various career development! On October 4, we participated in the Campbell Accounting Career Fair, followed by the Wake Tech Accounting Career Fair on October 26. Subsequently, on November 2, we attended the North Carolina Center for Non-profits Annual Convention, where we had the chance to explore diverse perspectives within the sector. Most recently, on January 22, we participated in the Durham School of the Arts Career Symposium! Additionally, on January 24, we had the privilege of presenting at the North Carolina Society of CPAs virtual event, where we had the opportunity to lead a discussion with accounting students on the significance of personal branding.

Looking ahead, we are excited to extend opportunities to aspiring accountants by announcing the opening of applications for our 2024 Summer Leadership Conference! If you know any students eager to delve into the accounting field, encourage them to explore more details and apply through the following link:

Office Happenings:

Throughout the final months of last year and the beginning of this year, we hosted a series of engaging and community-focused events to foster camaraderie and support worthy causes! On October 31, we kicked off the festivities with our annual chili cook-off and pumpkin carving contest. Continuing our spirit of giving, on November 15, we organized our annual Thanksgiving Pay It Forward food drive to benefit Table, followed by a potluck Thanksgiving feast that celebrated both generosity and gratitude.

December was marked by our commitment to spreading joy through our annual toy drive and gift-wrapping holiday party, which supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle. Amidst festive cheer, we enjoyed lunch, indulged in Holiday Trivia, and engaged in a spirited round of White Elephant gift exchange. We also hosted a gingerbread house decorating contest, with Candy Kirby earning well-deserved recognition for her impressive creation. Finally, on January 19th, we celebrated National Popcorn Day in style, delighting in popcorn adorned with an array of delectable toppings!
