Chris joined Blackman & Sloop in 2024 as Chief Growth Officer, bringing a strong background in business strategy, operations, and growth. In his role, Chris focuses on driving firm–wide growth initiatives, M&A activities, and improving the firm’s overall operational efficiency. His leadership, combined with his love for data–driven insights, helps guide the firm’s strategic decisions, workforce planning, and long–term success. Prior to Blackman & Sloop, Chris was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and a leader in strategy & operations at Epic Games. Chris finds true fulfillment in seeing his work positively impact local businesses and communities, helping them grow and thrive.

When he’s not working, Chris is an avid cyclist, enjoying everything from road biking to gravel and mountain trails. He also enjoys skiing when he gets the chance. Chris lives in Raleigh with his wife, Sarah, their daughter, and two cats. Outside of work and cycling, he loves to travel, with Italy being one of his favorite destinations for its top–notch cycling and delicious food. His personal motto is, “The journey is more important than the destination,” reflecting his goal–oriented mindset and commitment to enjoying the process of growth.
