Anthony Martinez joined Blackman & Sloop in 2026 and currently serves as the firm’s Chief Growth Officer. In this role, he is responsible for driving growth, strengthening firm operations, and providing strategic support to the broader leadership team. Anthony brings a collaborative perspective to the firm’s long–term strategy. He is motivated by the foundational role accounting plays in supporting communities, and he approaches his work with integrity, humility, and
compassion.

Before joining Blackman & Sloop, Anthony built his career around driving growth in PE–backed middle market firms. By training, he is an organic chemist and cancer biologist, bringing a rigorous analytical and process–oriented mindset to his work. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Anthony serves as Chairman of the Board for HD Reach, a North Carolina based nonprofit that provides care navigation and support to families affected by Huntington’s Disease. His involvement reflects a deep commitment to service, education, and advocacy for families navigating complex challenges.

Outside of work, Anthony enjoys spending time with his two sons, cooking for friends and family, collecting East and South Asian art and sculptures, and practicing archery. Anthony grew up in Stratford, Connecticut, and later spent nearly a decade living in Chicago while completing his graduate work. In both his work and personal life, he values curiosity, connection, and continued learning.
