12 Aug Employee Spotlight: Kyle Eskens
Kyle Eskens joined Blackman & Sloop in August 2024 as a Senior Auditor, primarily working with our Non-Profit sector and on Employee Benefit Plan audits.
He was drawn to the firm for two key reasons: the ability to work fully remote while remaining in Nebraska — giving him the flexibility to enjoy activities outside of work — and the people. “From the moment I interviewed with B&S, I could tell it was a dedicated group of people who thoroughly enjoy what they do and work hard, but also have fun along the way,” he says.
The part of his work that Kyle enjoys most is connecting with clients from a variety of backgrounds. “Never a dull moment,” he adds.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys reading, watching sports, playing and coaching volleyball, and spending time with his puppy, Maggie, and his boyfriend, Kai. If he were stranded on a desert island, the three items he would want with him are a volleyball, a good mystery novel, and a good bottle of bourbon.
