Here is what the firm has been up to since our last newsletter.
Promotions / New Hires:
On May 14, we welcomed our four summer Interns: Vincent Ruggiero, Todd Hammett, Aji Njie, and Bri Berry. On that same day we also welcomed Lindsey Beane, who joined as an associate in our Business Advisory group.
On May 20, Chris Kavcsak joined the firm as Chief Growth Officer.
On July 11, Stephen Dallara joined the firm as a Tax Associate.
Conferences / Seminars / Events:
In early May, we attended the annual BDO Alliance Conference in Las Vegas, where we were awarded The Excellence Award For Workplace Culture!
On May 20-21, we hosted our third annual Summer Leadership Conference for students in our office.
On June 13, we attended Business North Carolina’s Best Employers in North Carolina Awards Gala – marking our 6th year in a row to make the list!
Volunteerism/Community Events:
On June 4, we cooked and served dinner at the SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals
On June 5, we cooked and served dinner at The Pathways Center
As part of our Summer Leadership Conference we created pet toys and donated them to Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary
Office Happenings:
On June 26, we gathered to celebrate Neely McLaughlin’s retirement. Thanks for 40 amazing years Neely! You will be missed!
On July 8th, we celebrated Sue Cannon’s 60th birthday by surprising her with a decorated desk!
