What year did you join Blackman & Sloop? I joined Blackman & Sloop in March of 2023.

Why did you choose Blackman & Sloop? I saw it as an opportunity to grow and learn. I also had a great feeling about the people.

What is your favorite part of your job? I love learning about client industries and how we can help a client understand their financials to help them make better business decisions. I also love collaborating on new ideas with my co-workers.

Which of Blackman & Sloop’s 31 Fundamentals resonates the most with you and why? I love all of the fundamentals, but the fundamental that speaks to me the most is “Be positive”.  I learned positivity from a very young age from my dad. No matter our family’s challenges, he always kept a cheerful and positive disposition. I feel like I inherited that trait from him and have hopefully passed it down to my kids. Life is too short to focus on anything other than the positive. I’m grateful to be involved with a firm that embraces positivity as part of its culture.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Without a doubt, the North Carolina coast! My extended family has been going there every summer for 17 years…it is my happy place because, of course, it’s the beach, but also because it holds so many fun and happy memories.
