Blackman & Sloop is proud but sad to announce the retirement of long-time team member Robin McDuffie, CPA, CGMA.
“I am honored to congratulate Robin on her retirement,” said Andrea Woodell Eason, CPA, managing principal at Blackman & Sloop. “This moment is bittersweet, as we will miss her dearly. I am very grateful for her many years of dedicated service, and I wish Robin the best as she begins this new chapter. She has left quite a legacy.”
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, McDuffie earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1980. Starting at the firm as a staff accountant, Robin worked diligently and rose to the position of principal. In this role, she performs audits, reviews, and compilations, including single audits of organizations receiving federal funding. She also provides income tax planning and compliance services to individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. McDuffie has developed industry expertise working with clients in the non-profit, construction, real estate, private equity, wholesale, and retail sectors. An active participant in the professional community, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). Additionally, she serves as treasurer for Carolina Meadows. McDuffie lives in Chatham County with her husband, Mike. Together they have two daughters and four grandchildren.
“I have had a wonderful career with Blackman & Sloop,” shared McDuffie, “I am excited to embark on this new journey, but I will certainly miss my colleagues and always fondly remember my time with the firm.”
