As we all try to stay cool for the summer, here are some of the exciting things happening at Blackman & Sloop!

Promotions and New Hires:

We’re proud to announce that Rob Lewis became a partner in the firm on July 1^st!

Stephanie Kieffer joined us as a Senior Audit Associate on May 2^nd.

Logan Miller DeBrosky joined us as a Summer Intern on May 23^rd.

Former seasonal employee Andrew Olson came back to join us as a Summer Intern on June 1^st.

Former Summer Intern Sarah Benoist came back to join us as an Audit Associate on June 20^th.

 

Conferences/Seminars/Events:

On May 24-25 we hosted our inaugural Summer Leadership Conference in our office. The conference is a two-day program for select college students interested in pursuing a career in accounting. Students who attended participated in networking events, an internal service project, and educational presentations. Thanks to our first-year attendees for making the conference a success!

Volunteerism/Community Events:

On June 28^th, we cooked dinner for the SECU Family House.

Office Happenings:

On June 14 we celebrated National Bourbon Day with bourbon-infused treats and a bourbon tasting!

On June 28^th, our partners headed to Blowing Rock, NC for their annual retreat.

The Blackman & Sloop team has been recharging this summer with vacations and lots of family time!  From the North Carolina mountains to Maine, to Aruba and the Galapagos Islands – we’ve been making the most of this summer!
