Blackman & Sloop is pleased to announce the addition of Shekente Lassiter-Farrington to our professional team.

Lassiter-Farrington joins the firm as an associate in the Business Advisory Department. In this role, she helps businesses achieve their goals by providing various services including payroll processing, bookkeeping, sales tax, financial statement preparation, and provides additional help as needed. She previously served Blackman & Sloop as a seasonal associate in 2021.

In 2018, Lassiter-Farrington earned an associate degree in Accounting from Alamance Community College. She went on to study at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2021. She remains involved with her alma mater as a member of the UNC Greensboro Alumni Association. She is a current student at Post University pursuing her Master of Accountancy and plans to sit for the CPA exam. Lassiter-Farrington currently lives in Chapel Hill.
