What year did you join Blackman & Sloop?
I joined B&S as an intern in the summer of 2018 and officially joined as a full-time associate in May of 2019.

Where did you go to college?
I went to Meredith College for my Bachelor of Science in Accounting and I went to North Carolina State University for my Master’s of Accounting.

Why did you choose Blackman & Sloop?
I chose B&S because here you are more than just an employee, you are part of a work family with really incredible coworkers who genuinely care about you and make sure you feel valued.

What are your favorite ways to practice positivity?
My favorite way to practice positivity is to make a point of starting my day by saying hello to my coworkers, greeting them with a smile and hearing how their week is going. I’m able to start my day off in a good mood and hopefully make someone else’s day as well.

If you could have lunch with any person living or dead who would it be and why?
If I could have lunch with any person, it would be with Walt Disney. He has a truly inspiring story – starting with little money and many failures before becoming a huge success. He had an unwavering determination that I like to remember as an example to strive for, especially during busy or stressful times like tax season.
