Blackman & Sloop CPAs is pleased to announce that Andrea Woodell Eason, CPA, CGMA, has assumed the duties of managing partner as of July 2016.
“I am proud to take on this leadership responsibility – and honored that my fellow partners have placed their trust in me,” said Eason, who has been a partner with the firm for 14 years. “My colleague Joan Pharr has done excellent work as managing partner with the firm since 2002. I am hopeful that I can make an equally valuable contribution to the firm’s legacy.”
“I am happy to turn the reins over to Andrea,” said Joan Pharr, CPA, CGMA, the firm’s previous managing partner. “Her dedication to our firm over the years has been tremendous. With it being time for a change of guard, I know that the firm will be in excellent hands.” Pharr stepped down from the role of Managing Partner in order to focus on working with clients and remains with the firm full-time.
Eason began her career as a CPA in 1990 and joined Blackman & Sloop in 1993. She moved through the ranks at the firm, becoming Senior Manager in 1998 and Principal in January of 2002. Her technical skill and commitment to excellent client service combined with her positive attitude to make Eason an excellent candidate for continuing Blackman & Sloop’s path of growth and innovation. Eason lives in Raleigh, NC, with her husband, Donnie, and their four children.
