Dogwood Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort is the fulfillment of a dream of two local veterinarians who wanted to bring a unique experience to the community by creating a full-service veterinary facility offering upscale, state-of-the-art medical, surgical, boarding and grooming services.
Dr. Michelle Pineda was born in Greenville, South Carolina, but has made the Triangle her home since 1993. She was accredited with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Linda Sands grew up in the South, spending most of her childhood in Florida. Dr. Sands received two college degrees from UGA, BS in Agriculture and MS in Medical Microbiology before going on to earn her Doctorate at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She and Dr. Pineda wanted to open their own veterinary practice that offered a unique experience for people and their pets.
Their mission is offer each pet the best care possible while providing superior client service. Together with their team Dogwood Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort strive to improve the quality of life for pets and their owners while strengthening the human-animal bond.
The facility is 7800 square feet on more than four acres, complete with indoor and outdoor play areas and trails. They opened their doors in 2007 and have since expanded their resort facilities in May of 2012.
