Blackman & Sloop, CPAs, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of Kari B. Bohning, Amy Ford and Katie Ledford, CPA, to their professional team.
Bohning joins the firm as an accountant in the Small Business Advisory department. Ford comes aboard as a Recruiting and Marketing Assistant and Ledford will be serving as an auditor in the firm’s Audit department.

Bohning joins Blackman & Sloop with more than six years of experience. She is a 2011 graduate of Bridgewater College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Master of Accounting and Information Systems. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). She currently resides in Durham, North Carolina.
As the firm’s Recruiting and Marketing Assistant, Ford will be responsible for recruiting and screening candidates, attending on-campus recruiting events, and acting as a liaison for outside marketing consultants. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a concentration in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which she received in 1994. She comes to Blackman & Sloop from Roberson CPA Firm, PLLC, where she spent six years serving as office manager.
Ledford began her career in accounting in 2014. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Master of Accounting degree and subsequently went on to earn her CPA license in North Carolina. She is a member of the AICPA and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). Ledford currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
